What Are the Costs to Participate in The Nutcracker?
All students enrolled in a Ballet class at Core Dance & Acrobatics Studio will perform in The Nutcracker on December 12-13, 2026. There is no performance fee, only a $35 costume laundering fee.
Students cast in Lead or Solo Roles will also be responsible for an $85 rehearsal fee, in addition to the standard $35 costume fee. There is no performance fee required.
The only other associated cost is ticket purchase for audience entry.

Open Call Auditions for Lead Roles in The Nutcracker
Core Dance & Acrobatics Studio invites students to audition for Lead and Solo Roles in our upcoming production of The Nutcracker. Auditions will take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 1-3PM (Elementary Age dancers done at 2:30PM). Dancers should arrive 10-15 minutes early to stretch. Auditions will begin promptly at 3PM.
All students enrolled in a Ballet class at Core will participate in the production. Lead and Solo Roles are determined through audition and will require additional biweekly Friday/Saturday rehearsals leading up to the performance. Examples of Lead Roles are: Clara, Sugarplum, Snow Queen, the Nutcracker Prince, etc
Audition Requirements:
Please print and complete the audition form provided above and submit it to the studio no later than Thursday, August 27th.
Attire:
Students should arrive in proper ballet attire- black or studio uniform leotard, pink tights, and hair secured in a neat bun. Dancers not currently enrolled in Ballet may wear any appropriate dancewear.
Eligibility:
Auditions are open to students ages 7 and older. All experience levels are welcome; prior Ballet training is not required.
Performance Dates:
Saturday and Sunday, December 12-13, 2026
