
Bubba Carr is a highly respected choreographer, dancer, and creative force in the Atlanta entertainment community whose work spans stage, film, television, and live performance. Known for his dynamic storytelling and emotionally driven choreography, Bubba brings decades of professional experience to every project he touches. After a successful 20-year career in Los Angeles, Bubba relocated to Atlanta in the mid-2000s, where he quickly became a sought-after choreographer across the region’s thriving theatre and dance scene. He serves as Artistic Director for Xcel Talent Agency and has worked extensively in both commercial and theatrical spaces, helping shape Atlanta’s reputation as a national hub for performance arts.
His choreographic work spans major film and television productions including Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Ozark, Drop Dead Diva, The Resident, and Halt and Catch Fire, as well as feature films such as Bolden, Goosebumps, The Internship, The Big Door Prize, and Lady and the Tramp. On stage, his credits include celebrated productions such as Evita, Carousel, Miss Saigon, Hair, Grease, Oklahoma!, and Cabaret.
In addition to his choreographic career, Bubba has performed and collaborated with global icons, including touring and creative work with Cher across multiple world tours, as well as performances with major touring acts in the music industry.
In Atlanta, Bubba is also recognized for his work in immersive and regional theatre, including collaborations with Serenbe Playhouse and other leading companies, where his choreography is known for blending cinematic storytelling with raw, theatrical movement. As an educator, Bubba is passionate about developing versatile, performance-ready artists. His classes emphasize musicality, character development, and authentic storytelling challenging dancers to connect movement with intention and emotion. His teaching style draws from his extensive background in commercial dance, theatre, and film choreography, offering students a real-world professional perspective.
