Donna Kay (DK) Bapst

Donna Kay (DK)is currently the Acro-Dance Manager and instructor for ballet, jazz, tap at The Spirit of Dance in Marietta Georgia and a Competitive gymnastics coach for All Around Gymnastics in Alpharetta Georgia.

Donna Kay started dancing at the age of three, and danced through high school with the Albany Georgia Ballet Company, where she studied under Terrell Paulk. Shortly thereafter, she became a professional dancer with the Atlanta Ballet under Robert Barnett, performing in the Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Giselle Ballet, to name a few.

She has over 40 years of experience as a dance instructor, choreographer, and competitive gymnastics coach, which afforded her the opportunity to travel to many cities throughout the U.S. Her experience teaching competitive dance and levels ranges from recreational classes to company competition teams, including acro-dance, ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and ballroom. 
Donna Kay is married and has 3 boys ages 35, 20 & 17 and 1 grandson who is 1 1/2 years old.

Above all, Donna Kay believes that dance has blessed her life beyond her wildest dreams. One of her greatest joys is being able to witness students changing their lives and mentoring each child as an individual through her/his own journey. Dance was Donna Kay's first love and continues to inspire and inform her life, while allowing her to plant seeds of confidence and encouragement to her students. Her experience as a dancer, choreographer, and teacher in the field continues to feed her passion for this beautiful art form.
